Pioneers in Cirrus Instruction

Cirrus Partnership &
Training Legacy

Since our inception in 2006, Mach 1 Aviation has cultivated a strong partnership with Cirrus Aircraft, becoming a designated Cirrus Training Center in 2008. In 2014, we proudly achieved the status of Los Angeles’ first Platinum Cirrus Training Center (PCTC), reflecting our superior training standards and commitment to pilot development.

Certified Expertise
at Every Level

Our instructors are not only FAA Certified Flight Instructors (CFI/CFII) but also undergo rigorous Cirrus-specific training to become Cirrus Training Center Instructors (TCI). This dual certification ensures our students receive instruction that meets the highest industry benchmarks.

Platinum Standard Leadership

Central to our PCTC designation is the presence of a Platinum Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (PCSIP). Our founder, Jason Price, holds this esteemed title, requiring a minimum of 1,800 flight hours and 1,000 instructional hours in Cirrus aircraft, guaranteeing top-tier instructional quality.

Train in Dynamic, Real-World Airspace

Training at Mach 1 Aviation offers the unique advantage of flying within the dynamic and professionally managed airspace of the Los Angeles Basin.

Operating out of Van Nuys Airport (KVNY)—one of the most active general aviation hubs in the country—gives our students real-world exposure to diverse flight conditions and a variety of air traffic scenarios. This experience builds skill, situational awareness, and confidence, helping our graduates feel prepared for any flying environment.
