START WITH A DISCOVERY FLIGHT

Embark on your aviation journey with a Discovery Flight in one of our Cirrus G3 SR20 aircrafts, guided by our certified Cirrus Training Center instructors. This introductory flight offers a firsthand experience of the unparalleled training and aircraft quality that define Mach 1 Aviation.

$449 Discovery Flight Includes:

  • Pre-Flight Briefing (30 minutes): Introduction to aircraft systems and safety procedures.
  • Flight Experience (1 hour): Hands-on flying under the guidance of a certified instructor.
  • Post-Flight Debrief (30 minutes): Review of flight performance and discussion of training pathways.

MACH 1 TRAINING PROGRAMS

Mach 1 welcomes students of all backgrounds—from military veterans to future flight instructors. Our expert instructors and structured curriculum provide the foundation for safe, confident flying in today’s airspace.

Learning to fly solely by reference to instruments is a game-changing skill that dramatically increases your safety and confidence.

An Instrument Rating allows you to fly in lower visibility and poor weather conditions and prepares you to manage unexpected scenarios with calm precision.

  • FAA 3rd Class Medical Certificate
  • Hold a Private Pilot Certificate
  • 50 hours PIC cross-country time
  • 40 hours instrument (actual or simulated)
  • 15 hours instrument instruction with a CFII
  • Pass FAA written and practical tests
  • Master IFR navigation and procedures
  • File and fly under IFR flight plans
  • Understand weather systems and interpretation
  • Enhance aircraft systems and airspace knowledge

This certification is required to receive compensation for flying—even from friends or family. It advances your knowledge of performance, systems, aerodynamics, and FAA regulations to professional pilot standards.

Becoming a CFI is a challenging but rewarding path that solidifies your skills and allows you to teach others.

You’ll study learning theory, human behavior, and refine every concept you’ve mastered as a pilot. Instructors at Mach 1 develop mastery in teaching and share the joy of aviation with aspiring pilots.

  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – Single-engine
  • Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII)
  • Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
  • 18 years of age
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate or ATP with instrument rating
  • Minimum 250 flight hours
  • FAA 3rd Class Medical Certificate
